Surface Preparation: Ensure your wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free (maximum moisture content 18%). Osmo TopOil is ready to use; do not thin and stir well before application. Clean old microporous stains thoroughly, and completely remove old paints and lacquers. Sand wood surfaces carefully, progressing from coarse to finer grades, with final sanding for furniture at P150-240, and for kitchen worktops using hardwoods like Oak or Beech at P120. For very absorbent woods like Pine, sand to a maximum of P150. For dark and extractive-rich woods, use Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin. Always conduct a trial application.

Method of Application: Apply the first coat thinly along the wood grain with a Two Fussy Blokes 4" Microfibre Smooth Roller, Flat Brush, or Oil Finish Applicator Fleece. Allow to dry for approximately 8-10 hours, ventilating well during drying. Apply the second coat with an Osmo Oil Finish Applicator Fleece or a lint-free cloth. Avoid covering during drying and curing. The surface will be fully cured after 2-3 weeks. For renovations, one coat applied to a clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.
